an Elitch Theatre Children’s Day publication
SPECIAL EDITION

 

Hear ye! Hear ye!

Historic Elitch Theatre calls upon all young muggles, witches and wizards alike to share their creative works for publication in the Special Edition of the Elitch Theatre Children’s Day newspaper. The 2018 edition of this newspaper will be published and circulated on July 28th during “Harry Potter 20 Years of Magic,” Elitch Theatre’s community celebration. Creators of entries selected for publication will receive two VIP passes for the event for a young muggle and their elder.

 

Newspaper categories for submission include:

• Science & Discovery: Tales and drawings of magical creature sightings

• Crime: “WANTED” posters and reports of unauthorized use of magic (with unwanted results of such magic)

• Features: Wonderful Acts of Witches & Wizards – stories and poems welcome

• Magic: Spells, Potions & Recipes

• Sports: Quidditch report

• Community: Wizarding House News

• Advertisements: New magical shop openings

• Muggle Wall: Poems and tales of what Harry Potter means to you 

 

ELIGIBILITY & GUIDELINES

• Eligible contributors must be between the age of 5-18 years old

• One entry per person

• Completed entry form is required with all submissions

• Written pieces (250 word maximum) must be submitted in .doc format using Times New Roman, 12 pt. font

• Artwork must be saved in jpg format and scanned to send electronically
